We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Research Supervisor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract

Description

Provide technical support on the implementation of PROSSIVA banana research activities in Nigeria, with a focus on Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) technology, seed health and quality assurance.
Assist with field sample collection and processing for AMF isolation, purification, characterization and mass production.
Assist with the AMF priming of plantain seedlings, efficacy trial design and management in the screen house and field conditions.
Ensure nematode propagation using carrot discs for inoculum preparation for trials
Ensure trials troubleshooting and data collection (spores’ density, mycorrhization index and plant growth parameters, nematode count) using digital tools.
Perform data curation and data analysis and provide trials output.
Contribute to research on quality assurance schemes and seed health management.
Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Qualification

BSc / HND in Crop Protection, Agronomy or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Have excellent oral and writing communication skills in English.
Have report writing skills.
